Cookie Policy
Aurum Advies, trade name of Private Holding B.V., uses functional cookies on this website and, only with your consent, analytics cookies. This page explains which cookies and similar techniques we use and why. We do not use advertising cookies.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, tablet or phone. There are also similar techniques, such as storage in your browser. In this cookie policy we refer to all of them as cookies.
2. Functional cookies
Functional cookies are needed for the website to work properly. No consent is required for them.
- NEXT_LOCALE: remembers the language in which you view the website. We only place this cookie when you view the website in a language other than your browser's language. The cookie expires as soon as you close your browser.
- Temporary storage (localeSwitchScroll): remembers where you were on the page when you switch language, so you continue in the same place. This information stays in your browser and is deleted immediately afterwards.
- Cookie preference: remembers in your browser's storage the choice you made in the cookie notice, so we do not ask again on every visit. The names start with silktideCookie. This information stays until you clear this website's data in your browser.
3. Analytics cookies
We use analytics cookies to measure how visitors use the website, for example which pages are visited and what visitors click on. These insights help us improve the website. We only place these cookies if you give your consent in the cookie notice.
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited): cookies whose name starts with _ga. They distinguish visitors and sessions from one another. Retention period of the cookies: a maximum of 2 years.
- PostHog (PostHog Inc.): a cookie and browser storage whose name starts with ph_. They recognise your browser on a later visit and keep track of your session. With PostHog we also make session recordings: a replay of how a visit unfolds, such as mouse movements, clicks and scrolling. What you type into form fields is masked. Retention period of the cookie: a maximum of 1 year.
- Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited): we use it to manage the loading of the services above. Google Tag Manager itself does not place cookies.
These parties may also process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Our privacy statement explains how we deal with that.
4. Giving or withdrawing consent
On your first visit, the cookie notice asks whether we may place analytics cookies. Without your consent we only place functional cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie icon at the bottom left of the website. If you withdraw your consent, we no longer place or read analytics cookies.
5. Content from other parties
We load some parts of the website directly from another party. That party receives technical data in the process, such as your IP address, and may place cookies itself. We have no influence over the cookies of these parties. Their own privacy and cookie statements explain how they handle data.
- MapTiler: the map on the contact page.
- Flagcdn: the flags in the language selector.
- YouTube and Vimeo: videos in articles, when an article contains a video.
- Gravatar: profile images shown with comments on articles.
6. Managing or deleting cookies
You can view, block and delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the functional cookies, the website keeps working, but it does not remember your language choice or your cookie preference.
7. Questions
Do you have questions about this cookie policy? Contact us at info@aurumadvies.com. Our privacy statement explains how we handle personal data.
8. Changes
We may amend this cookie policy, for example when the website changes. The most recent version is always available on this page. This version was last updated on 13 October 2026.
